7075 Aluminum CNC Turning

7075 Aluminum

7075 aluminum is widely used for high-strength turned shafts and bushings in aerospace and drone components. It machines well on CNC lathes and provides excellent strength-to-weight ratio.

6061 Aluminum CNC Turning

6061 Aluminum

6061 aluminum is the most common turning material for general industrial shafts, fittings and adapters. It has good corrosion resistance and accepts anodizing surface finishes.

304 Stainless Steel CNC Turning

304 Stainless Steel

304 stainless steel offers excellent corrosion resistance for turned parts used in medical, food and sanitary equipment. It requires stable cutting parameters on CNC lathes.

Titanium Alloy CNC Turning

Titanium Alloy

Titanium alloy turned components are lightweight and high strength, ideal for aerospace, medical implants and high-performance rotational parts. Professional mill-turn machining is required.

Copper Brass CNC Turning

Copper & Brass

Brass and copper are excellent for turned electrical connectors, terminals and fittings. They have great machinability and produce smooth surface finishes on CNC lathes.

PEEK CNC Turning

PEEK

PEEK is a high-performance engineering plastic used for precision turned parts in medical and high-temperature mechanical applications. It has low friction and excellent chemical resistance.

Nylon CNC Turning

Nylon

Nylon is easy to turn on CNC lathes and commonly used for non-metal bushings, gears and insulation components. It offers good wear resistance and lightweight properties.

FAQs About CNC Turning Services

Find common questions and answers for custom CNC turning, materials, tolerances, lead time and quotation.

What is CNC turning?
CNC turning is a subtractive machining process that cuts rotational parts. The workpiece spins on a lathe while stationary cutting tools remove material to produce shafts, bushings, flanges and cylindrical components.
What tolerances can you achieve for CNC turned parts?
Our standard tolerance for turning is ±0.02mm. For ultra-precision jobs, we can reach ±0.005mm, subject to material, part geometry and size.
What materials are available for CNC turning?
We machine aluminum, stainless steel, brass, copper, titanium and many engineering plastics such as POM, PEEK and nylon for turning projects.
What file formats do you accept for turning quotes?
We prefer STEP, IGES, STP 3D files plus 2D drawings with tolerances. PDF drawings are also acceptable for preliminary quotation.
How long is the lead time for custom turned parts?
Prototype orders usually take 3–7 working days. Mass production lead time depends on quantity and material, normally 10–20 working days. Expedited service is available upon request.
Do you offer surface finishing for turned components?
Yes, we provide anodizing, passivation, sandblasting, plating, polishing and other surface treatments for your CNC turning parts.
